The LaBatt family welcomes Savina Grace!

Home Sweet Home!

Within just a few hours we will be traveling to the airport to return to the United States!  There is nothing left to do except for...LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER!  We should arrive home about midday tomorrow (Sunday).  We are ready for summer, ready for the heat, ready for Fourth of July fun!   One hundred million thank yous are going out to everyone who loved and supported us along this journey.  Through all of the paperwork, prayers, tears, and waiting, everyone kept loving us and encouraging us.  To see what life was like in the orphanage compared to what her life will be like now...there just aren't words left to express the difference.  Thank you!

Rhonda, I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed reading about your journey to Savina. What a priviledge it has been to walk beside you through everything ( or as much as I could walk beside you...!). This has been the most difficult summer of my life - one I hope never to repeat. Yet your blog and Facebook posts made me smile...and the camping videos had me laughing out loud! What a blessing you have been to me this summer!! I wish I could be there when you all return home. Guess seeing ALL of you in August or so will just have to be something to look forward to! (I now have possession of all the letters and documents from my dad's adoption when he was a baby...Savina will treasure your blog as much as my dad did his mom's letters!)

I too have soooooo much enjoyed following your journey. I'm excited to hear how the happily ever after part goes, I hope you will keep updating the blog! We will keep praying as Savina adjusts to a new culture. I imagine the adjustment to hearing English all around her is going to be a big one. I praise God that he designed Savina for your family. A perfect match!
